Sr Varsity: West Van 24 - Centennial 6

The Senior Varsity team had a great win under the lights to start the season. 

West Van opened the game moving the ball well on the ground with some powerful running, our run game opened up the pass game and we were clicking on offence in the first half.

Defensively we were flying around the field and played as a team, there seemed to be 2 to 3 guys in on each tackle. Coach Anderson is super proud of our guys coming together and buying in to the message we have been preaching throughout camp, tonight was a great start and we have lots of positives to build on.

MLB #24 Ben Croasdale led the team with 8 tackles, but it looked like he was in on every tackle.

DBs #2 Matt Lane and #22 Adib Vahedi had strong games with Lane coming up with a big time late game interception on our goal line.

Offensively, our Offensive Line had a great game and provided time for our QB and big holes on the ground. Big shout out to first year player Sebastian Paisley for stepping in at center anchoring our offensive line. 

QB #12 Ben Corbett was 10-22 for 180 yards and 2 TDS. He did a great job spreading the ball around to different receivers.

RB #20 Connor Chapman was powerful on the ground, and finished with 135 yards rushing along with a receiving TD.
Defensively,

Again Coach Anderson is  super proud of our guys coming into a big game and playing up to the moment. Centennial is a strong opponent with dangerous athletes all over the field.
